The $12.4 billion Maine Public Employees’ Retirement System has committed up to $150 million to Twin Creeks Timber, according to Andrew Sawyer, CIO of the pension fund.
Twin Creeks Timber is a joint venture managed by Silver Creek Capital Management and Plum Creek Timber Co., which gives investors an opportunity to co-invest in timberlands currently managed by Plum Creek. Other recent investors include the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund, the Washington State Investment Board and the Alaska Permanent Fund Corp.
