Author Spotlight: ‘The Infrastructure Book’ on the best and worst of human civilization’s backbone

Sybil Derrible, professor of urban engineering at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and author of the popular science title ‘The Infrastructure Book: How Cities Work and Power Our Lives,’ joins the program to discuss the state of global infrastructure. He is also a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and was a lead author on the United Nations Environmental Program Seventh Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7).
