While most fund-raisers continue to traverse a rocky road, there was an uptick in the amount of capital raised for private equity real estate funds during third quarter 2011. A total of 18 fund closings registered an aggregate $13.3 billion, the second highest total posted in the past 11 quarters. The third quarter total represented a 27 percent increase from the $10.5 billion raised during the second quarter.
