The West End of London Property Unit Trust (WELPUT), managed by Schroders and advised by Grafton Advisors, has sold the freehold interest in Stratton House to a private European investor for £166 million (€204 million). Located at 5 Stratton Street in London’s West End, the property has 10,000 square metres of mixed-use accommodation.
The Grade II landmark building was constructed in 1929; WELPUT acquired the property in 2005 and refurbished the asset into a prime mixed-use office building. The eighth floor was made a residential penthouse flat that sold in 2010, and was not included in the current sale.
