Watching the knife fall: The Institutional Real Estate Europe editorial board meeting finds investors and managers playing a waiting game
For the first time since 2019, the Institutional Real Estate Europe editorial board gathered together in person from 27 September through to 29 September, in the historic and grand surroundings of the St. Pancras Renaissance hotel in London, to discuss the state of the real estate investment market.
The investment managers present at the meeting collectively control at least €626.1 billion in real estate assets under management, while five of the 10 investors who were able to share data have a total of €24.9 billion in real estate assets within their portfolios. Two of the three consultants who were able to provide data advise some €571 billion in total client capital. The sheer scale of capital managed by the board’s members, coupled with their experience of numerous real estate sectors and geographies, allowed them to present an accurate and up-to-date perspective on the main issues facing the world of property investment.
