Cushman & Wakefield’s latest Office space across the world report shows that Hong Kong has replaced London’s West End district as the world’s most expensive office market. Heavy demand from mainland China and supply constraints pushed Hong Kong costs higher to $27,431 (€22,747) per workstation and currency depreciation following the United Kingdom’s Brexit vote saw London costs fall on a US dollar basis to $22,665 (€18,794). The report covers 215 office markets in 58 countries worldwide and ranks occupancy costs per workstation and workplace densities for newly-developed or refurbished office space globally.
