Pension funds issue RFPs for consulting services

Several public pension funds have launched consultant searches in advance of contract expirations.

The $11.2 billion Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) approved a plan at its November board meeting to launch an RFP seeking a new investment consultant. The current consultant, Callan, is eligible to rebid for the new contract.

In addition, the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) of Oklahoma has issued an RFP seeking general investment consulting services ahead of the expiration of AndCo Consulting’s contract on June 30.

The $1.6 billion Employees’ Retirement System of the County of Milwaukee (Wis.) also has issued an RFP seeking an investment consultant. The contract of the fund’s current consultant, Marquette Associates, is scheduled to expire. The firm has been invited to rebid.
