Office attendance rises sharply in Europe year-over-year
Office attendance in Europe has surged, as companies continue to find success in attracting employees back to their desks.
CBRE’s 2024 European Office Occupier Sentiment Survey, which has questioned more than 120 companies, has found that weekly office utilisation of between 41 percent and 80 percent has risen to 61 percent. In 2023, the figure was 48 percent. The number of companies reporting lower office use has fallen at the same time, with only a third of companies reporting utilisation of 40 percent or below, compared with nearly half of the companies surveyed in 2023.
Two-thirds of companies with more than 5,000 employees have registered office use of 41 percent or higher, while smaller companies are seeing improved rates of high-frequency attendance.
