Data center infrastructure is reshaping how developers approach large-scale projects. These developments pose a very different set of challenges compared to conventional asset types like industrial or office space, particularly when it comes to power.
“Power is the most significant difference,” says Evan Slavik, president and CEO of Mark IV Capital, in an exclusive interview with IREI. “The amount of power required for a data center is exponentially higher than what’s needed for a similar-sized industrial or office building, so solving the power delivery problem is much more complex.”
