The journey, inside: Working in the time of corona

Like most, if not all, of you, I’m working from home, scribing away approximately 90 miles north of New York City in Woodstock, N.Y. Having settled in over the past five weeks — at last count, though I can’t really remember at this point — it has been an interesting road.

Of course, my first priority, in something of a mad rush, was to see to the safety and well-being of my family, and then to figure out how to settle into this, hopefully temporary, new normal. One of the most grounding activities was to reach out to my professional and personal comrades in arms. Having no real schedule or calendar of events to speak of, it was a slow burn to get into a regular routine. I reached out primarily to my professional colleagues first. I think the craving for normalcy became paramount as we came to terms with the world around us.
