IREI: Roundtable discussions with investors on ESG, investing in South Korea

Two recent virtual roundtables with institutional investors, consultants and investment managers were held by Institutional Real Estate, Inc, on issues related to ESG investing as well as the outlook for property investment in South Korea. The in-depth discussions were moderated by Reno Sio, managing director, Asia Pacific, at IREI.

ESG

With respect to ESG, the roundtable topic considered that, while COVID-19 has forced ESG considerations up the agenda, it has also introduced more complexity in the approach. The participants discussed how asset owners should appeal to a society that increasingly values the benefits of sustainability, as well as the current implications for ESG investing in real estate globally.
