Finding common ground: Board members look for stability amid uncertain policy regimes

As longtime readers know, the content of this publication is guided by an Editorial Advisory Board, composed of members of the institutional real estate investment community, including investors, consultants and investment managers. The board members meet twice annually to share their views and discuss the topics that are keeping them up at night.

The most recent meeting was held in mid-April on Amelia Island, Fla. The conversations held at this meeting are off-the-record, allowing for members to candidly speak about what they are seeing in their own portfolios and the market. Prior to the meeting, we ask for board members to suggest questions or topics for discussion, which we organize and present as “Food for Thought,” and the following collects the broad themes and concerns of the investor and manager community amid a period of upheaval and change.
