by

Europe has attracted the largest slice of capital that was raised in 2018 to invest into real estate. The Capital Raising Survey 2019, produced by ANREV, INREV and NCREIF, has stated that $193.7 billion (€173.1 billion) of new capital was raised for non-listed real estate investment globally, a 15.7 percent increase compared to 2017. $83.2 billion (€74.4 billion), some 44.8 percent of new money, is headed for Europe, while a third has been committed to North America. Asia Pacific is attracting 14.5 percent of the total raised, with the remainder divided between the rest of the world. Of the total raised, over half has already been invested, leaving around $91.8 billion (€82 billion) that is yet to be deployed.
