EQT Exeter Europe Logistics fund closes at €2.1b

by Andrea Zander

The EQT Exeter Europe Logistics Value Fund IV has completed a final close at its €2.1 billion hard cap, due to demand from both existing and new investors from across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

EQT Exeter will seek to acquire, develop, redevelop, lease, operate and sell supply chain and ecommerce-focused big-box warehouses, through the fund, as well as last-mile and light industrial properties that serve major markets throughout Europe.

In addition, BlackRock Real Assets has raised €609 million ($716 million) for the BlackRock European Real Estate Debt Fund (ERED). The fund, the first of its kind for BlackRock in Europe, was backed by more than 20 different investors including public and private pension plans, insurance companies, and financial institutions across EMEA and APAC. IREI understands the initial fundraising target was €500 million. ERED invests in junior debt secured by commercial properties primarily located in western Europe. T
