On edge: Investors are being consumed by geopolitical tinderboxes

Over the course of a given year, we talk to hundreds of investors and their investment managers during our normal outreach efforts. These include the discussions that take place at our editorial advisory board meetings around the globe, as well as those at our VIP conference programs, CEO summits, Springboard programs and Sponsor Briefings.

Reflecting on what we’ve been hearing, we are then able to tease out a series of themes that help inform the editorial direction of our publications for the years to come.

In the past year, those themes have included information overload, end-of-cycle angst, vehicles, property types, investment strategies, replacement costs, technology, competitive pressures, consolidation and both domestic and geopolitics. The latter, in particular, have commanded a great deal of investor attention over the past 12 months.
