Demand for tech talent fuelling growth in emerging markets

Demand for tech talent is beginning to outstrip supply in some European markets, spurring tech employers to expand their hiring into relatively untapped locations.

This push is being further driven by high labour costs and the greater acceptance of remote workforces in many well-known global markets, says CBRE in its Global Tech Talent Guidebook, which analyses key labour trends across 75 global markets, 25 of which are in Europe.

The demand-supply imbalance for skilled workers, coupled with rising costs, means tech companies are seeking to establish office locations in emerging European tech office markets. These include Bucharest, Porto, Seville, Tallinn, Valencia and Wroclaw.
