Columbia Threadneedle to acquire Lionstone

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has agreed to acquire Lionstone Partners, extending Columbia Threadneedle’s investment capabilities into U.S. real estate.

“Lionstone was looking for a strategic partner to accelerate our strategy of moving further into developing advanced analytics that help shape how we make better investments,” says Jane Page, CEO of Lionstone.

Lionstone specializes in investment strategies based upon proprietary analytics and manages approximately $6 billion in assets.

Page adds, “The acquisition made a lot of sense because we are compatible. We both have the DNA of using research and using the analytics to help shape consistent and attractive investments on behalf of our clients.”
