Broader coverage: ANREV makes further strides toward industry transparency

This year has proven to be another busy year for ANREV, as the association has sought to add depth to the research and indexes it provides, while branching out into new areas of thought leadership.

Despite geopolitical-induced market volatility and fears of a global slowdown, the nonlisted real estate industry in the Asia Pacific region has continued to show robust fundamentals — a sign that investors still see real estate as an important allocation within their portfolios, at a time when they are looking to diversify globally.

Our Investment Intentions Survey published in January, for instance, showed investors’ average allocation to real estate is now at 10 percent and still increasing. The gap between current allocation and targets is narrowing, however.
