Australia’s A$210 billion (US$146 billion) Aware Super has invested US$300 million in Vantage Data Centers’ Asia Pacific business.
Vantage Data Centers operates more than 10 high-quality hyperscaler data centre across the Asia in Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Hong Kong. This investment was made with DigitalBridge through Skyline JV, the joint venture data centre business that indirectly owns Vantage Data Centers Asia Pacific. Aware Super will take a minority stake in Skyline.
This marks Aware Super’s second data centre deal in less than two years. Despite recent discourse regarding the risk of a data centre asset bubble, the fund remains confident in the sector.
