APG takes stake in data centre operator OneAsia

by Kali Persall

Dutch pension fund APG Asset Management has acquired a 20 percent stake in OneAsia, a data centre operator based in Hong Kong.

Through the partnership, OneAsia is seeking to diversify further into North and Southeast Asia through a pipeline of opportunities in China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand.

Following the acquisition, Legan, a company that provides solutions for critical environments, IT infrastructure, cloud and data centre services in Asia, owns an 80 percent stake in OneAsia.

“We are very pleased to partner with APG,” said Charles Lee, founder and CEO of OneAsia. “We are convinced that the partnership with APG will accelerate our expansion in the high-growth data centre market, especially when we are extending our network into other countries in Asia.”
