Yoo Capital holds first close for second U.K. fund

London-based Yoo Capital Investment Management, a privately-held real estate investment firm, has completed a first close for its second fund, Yoo Capital Fund II (YCFII). The firm now has £200 million ($246 million) in new capital to deploy.

John Hitchcox, chairman of Yoo Group, noted, “We are committed to creating new opportunities, transformative assets, and providing economic stability in this critical period for the real estate sector.”

YCFII gives Yoo Capital the opportunity to invest in assets in prime and infill locations, creating institutional-quality mixed use, leisure, healthcare and life sciences real estate assets, predominantly in Central London. To date, the fund has attracted commitments from institutional investors across six continents.

YCFII was launched in the third quarter of 2019 with a target fund size of £400 million ($493 million). According to Yoo Capital, it is the first in a series of funds launched by a partnership between Yoo
