The $128.2 billion Washington State Investment Board has approved a commitment of up to $650 million to Crane Capital, which includes the transfer of up to $400 million of existing commitments, plus $250 million of new commitments, according to board meeting documents.
This is WSIB’s first commitment to Crane Capital real estate. The transfer of up to $400 million represents WSIB’s investments in and commitments to three existing real estate operating companies and two joint ventures previously overseen by Evergreen Real Estate Partners.
WSIB’s real estate portfolio makes up $18.1 billion of the total assets.
