WSB Real Estate Partners, an alternative investment platform jointly held by the ex-India Management team of Walton Street Capital and Blacksoil Group, has raised more than its target Rs 500 crore ($66.7 million) for its residential property debt fund, WSB Real Estate Debt Fund II (WSBREDF II).
The fund was backed by stakeholders, such as large family offices, corporations, offshore investors, and high-net-worth individuals.
WSB Real Estate Partners and Blacksoil Group said the fund will focus on using structured debt to invest in residential real estate projects serving the middle-income/affordable-housing segment across select Tier I cities.
