WHI Real Estate Partners, a Chicago-based real estate investment firm focused on repositioning middle-market properties throughout the United States, has launched a new investment vehicle.
The fund, WHI Real Estate Partners V, is targeting $325 million in capital commitments, according to an SEC Form D. Like its opportunistic predecessors, Fund V will target the CBD office, hotel, industrial, multifamily and retail sectors.
The fund’s immediate predecessor, WHI Real Estate Partners IV, closed in March 2018 with $302 million in capital commitments, exceeding its fundraising target of $250 million.
WHI manages a series of fully-discretionary investment funds whose investors include university endowments, foundations, healthcare systems, pension plans and family offices, among others, according to the firm’s website.
