Wheelock Street Capital has raised $200.5 million for its Wheelock Street Real Estate Fund II, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. A fundraising target and final close was not disclosed.
The firm closed its first real estate vehicle, Wheelock Street Real Estate Fund, in 2012 with $525 million in equity commitments, exceeding its fundraising goal of $500 million. The opportunistic fundinvests in a broad range of real estate assets throughout the United States. The fund invests both directly and with high-quality joint venture partners through a variety of capital structures and transaction types, including acquisitions, restructurings, and recapitalizations.
