What investors think about the logistics sector

The pandemic brought about an epic wave of institutional investor interest and investment in the logistics sector globally as ecommerce trended to new heights while businesses sought to deliver goods and groceries to people stuck at home. Now most nations are choosing to live with COVID and resume pre-pandemic business and leisure activities to boost GDP growth, with lockdowns even lifted recently in China, the staunchest proponent of a zero-COVID policy these past few years.

But that zeal for economic growth now is being hampered by numerous interest-rate hikes by central banking efforts globally to crush years of compounding inflation.

Against this backdrop a virtual roundtable with institutional investors and investment managers was held by Institutional Real Estate, Inc. on April 19 about current opportunities in the logistics sector and where that stands in the investment cycle.
