German real estate investment manager Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate has opened a new branch in London.
The firm appointed Martin Payne as managing director of Warburg HIH Invest Real Estate U.K., a fully owned subsidiary of Warburg-HIH Invest that will handle the current asset management of the company’s U.K. holdings together with TH Real Estate.
Payne will be responsible for controlling the asset management of the U.K. portfolio of Warburg HIH Invest — currently €375 million ($435 million) — and the implementation of transactions. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the property investment sector to the job and previously worked for TH Real Estate.
By opening the London office, Warburg-HIH Invest consistently continues to implement its strategy of managing its real estate through dedicated branches. It is the third new branch office the company has established over the past 12 months, after having opened a branch in Vienna (September 2017) and Amsterdam (January 2018).
