Vicki Fuller, current chief investment officer of the New York State Common Retirement Fund, will retire this summer after a six-year tenure. New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced the retirement.

“Under Vicki’s direction, the state pension fund has produced impressive investment returns, averaging an annual growth rate of more than 8.75 percent,” said DiNapoli. “Since Vicki joined us, she has focused her decades of investment experience on delivering results and enhancing the Fund’s ability to serve their interests far into the future. By both measures, she has been an absolute success.

“Among other achievements, they have integrated environmental, social and governance factors into our investment processes, defined clear sustainability principles, and helped us make our minority- and women-owned business enterprise investment program one of the largest and best in the country. I thank her for her contributions and wish her the best,” added DiNapoli.

“There is never a great time to leave a place like the New York State Common Retirement Fund but there are several goals I want to pursue while I can,” said Fuller.

The New York State Common Retirement Fund is the third-largest public pension fund in the United States, with an estimated $209.1 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2017.
