Varde Partners raises $100m for European real estate fund

Varde Partners, a global alternative investment adviser, has raised $100.66 million for its closed-end real estate fund, Varde European Real Estate Fund, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts. 

Varde Partners’ real estate segment is “comprised of investments that arise from lending to commercial entities that develop or manage real property assets, investments in loans and securities that are secured by commercial real estate assets, and direct investments in real estate assets or companies that are involved in developing property or originating commercial real estate loans.” 

The firm’s investment strategy includes residential, multifamily and industrial assets, among others.
