Vanderbilt’s endowment posts 2% loss for fiscal year
Vanderbilt University’s endowment, with a market value of $9.7 billion, posted a 2.0 percent loss for the fiscal year ended on June 30.
The negative return follows a 4.4 percent loss during fiscal year 2022 and a 57.1 percent positive return from fiscal year 2021.
During the past three years, the endowment has generated annualized returns of 13.7 percent.
Three percent of Vanderbilt’s endowment is allocated to real estate and 6 percent is allocated to natural resources.
