USAA Real Estate and Square Mile Capital today announced the appointments of two new executives to join the platform’s global investors group team.

Joining as managing director, Ione S.V. Wilsmann will serve as the product specialist for Square Mile Capital responsible for overseeing the firm’s fund launches, managing the investor relations team dedicated to Square Mile and supporting the capital-raising process for all its product offerings.

Jonathan Anthony will serve as director responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and their consultants across the entire USAA Real Estate and Square Mile Capital platform.

A 30-year veteran of the real estate investment industry, Wilsmann joins the platform from U.S. Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund, where she served as head of real estate investments. Earlier, she was employed as partner and co-head of real estate at Quilvest and before that as head of new business development at MetLife Real Estate Investments, where she started as managing director responsible for regional offices. Wilsmann began her real estate career at Merrill Lynch and at JPMorgan (and predecessors), where she led regional CMBS commercial mortgage loan originations.

A graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business, Wilsmann received her Bachelor of Science in commerce in finance from the University of Virginia. She presently serves as treasurer and board member of New York Women Executives in real estate and its charitable fund.

With more than 10 years of real estate investment management experience, Anthony joins the platform from MetLife Investment Management’s Institutional Client Group, where he was a critical contributor to capital raise and product launch of real estate equity and debt strategies. He previously held similar roles at PGIM Real Estate and a related value hedge fund.

Anthony received his M.B.A. from Rutgers Business School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business administration from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
