U.S. Realterm enters Spanish market

Realterm Logistics, an American investment group specializing in logistics assets in the United States, Canada and India, has acquired its first acquisition in Spain.

The financial terms were not disclosed.

Savills Aguirre Newman has advised on the sale of a crossdock logistics warehouse in Palau Solità i Plegamans, Barcelona, which is one of the most strategic municipalities for the distribution sector. The 6,578-square-meter (70,805-square-foot) warehouse is occupied by a transport company.

According to data from Savills Aguirre Newman, during the first quarter 2020 the volume of investment transactions into logistics assets reached more than €440 million ($484 million) across Spain. In 2019 overall, a total investment volume of around €1.65 billion ($1.81 billion) was achieved, of which the region of Catalonia received almost a 40 percent share.
