U.K. hotel portfolio sells for £525m

U.K.-based real estate investment company Aprirose has acquired Q Hotels, a portfolio of 26 five- and four-star regional hotels in the United Kingdom, from Bain Capital Credit and Canyon Partners for £525 million ($705 million). The transaction is the biggest deal for U.K. hotels this year.

Aprirose funded the portfolio through its existing roster of investors, including Chinese firm Cindat Capital Management. The firms were discussing the transaction earlier this month.

The portfolio assets are located throughout the United Kingdom in major cities, including Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow. The portfolio is made up of a variety of hotels, including golf resorts, luxury and spa hotels.
