The $52.3 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) has renewed the contract for its investment consultant for real estate and real assets, and made several commitments to those asset classes, according to a recent news release.
According to TRS Illinois, StepStone Group was rehired and awarded a five-year contract, beginning Jan. 1, 2020.
TRS also made two separate commitments within its real assets portfolio to Pennsylvania-based Exeter Property Group, consisting of €200 million ($221 million) and $100 million. Exeter currently administers $28.9 million in TRS assets.
