GS8, a U.K. housebuilder specializing in planet-positive homes, has received a significant strategic investment from TPG Angelo Gordon and Ridgeback Group to support the continued growth of the business.
The investment will support GS8 as it targets delivery of up to 1,000 new homes per annum over the next five years, with an average GDV of £650 million($831 million), per 1,000 units.
Founded by Josh Gordon and Ben Spencer, GS8 focuses on regenerative housing developments. The carbon stored in the homes exceeds the embodied carbon needed to build and maintain them. Renewable energy generated on-site exceeds the annual energy consumption of these homes, guaranteeing zero energy bills in partnership with Octopus Energy. GS8’s project The Arbour in Walthamstow won a Regional RIBA London Award and the RIBA London Sustainability Award.
GS8 already has transacted on three projects in connection with this investment – a site in Epping Forest for 113 homes,
