The Townsend Group has raised $324.7 million for Townsend Real Estate Fund, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.
The open-ended, core-plus Townsend Real Estate Fund launched in first quarter 2015. It invests in properties throughout the United States. The fund previously received a $70 million commitment from the $8 billion Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System.
In other recent new, The Townsend Group, which is majority-owned by Colony NorthStar, was acquired by London-based Aon Group for $475 million.
Townsend currently has $14.5 billion of assets under management.
