Global real estate investor The Townsend Group has raised $319 million for its diversified real estate fund, according to an SEC form D filed on Jan. 17. The fund requires a minimum investment of $10,000 and was backed by 632 investors.
The Townsend Group focuses on real estate investment strategies that cover the spectrum of risk profiles, geographic focus and investment structures. The firm covers core to non-core, global or regional, using a variety of investment vehicles, such as primary funds and co-investments.
At the Townsend Diversified Real Estate Fund’s last filing in October 2019, an SEC Form D shows it had raised $313 million from 617 investors. The fund was launched in 2002.
The Townsend Group has $17.5 billion in assets under management.
