Tishman Speyer JV makes life science first project in Boston

Breakthrough Properties, a joint venture between Tishman Speyer and Bellco Capital, a biotechnology investment firm, has announced its first project together, The 105, located at 105 West First Street, in Boston’s Seaport Neighborhood.

It is scheduled for completion in early 2022.

Conveniently located near the Red Line’s Broadway Station, it will feature a tailored array of amenities, including a fitness facility and outdoor terraces accessible from two floors. LEED Gold and Fitwel certifications will be sought.

Recently, CRISPR Therapeutics, a gene editing company, signed a 263,500-square-foot lease agreement for the development.

The full-building lease transaction was executed just one year after acquisition of the site in July 2019 and four months after groundbreaking.
