Thor Equities plans for €600m data center in Spain

Thor Equities Group, a global leader in real estate, has signed a contract to acquire and develop a state-of-the-art €600 million ($630 million) data center facility in Madrid.

The Madrid One project represents the first asset in the firm’s new specialized data center division, Thor Digital.

The sustainability led 200,000-square-meter (2.15 million-square-foot) campus, offers phase one committed power of up to 20 megawatts IT load growing to more than 100 megawatts. In an otherwise power constrained market, Madrid One will be one of the region’s largest data center campuses with committed power, further benefiting from diverse power feeds and access to multiple IP transit and dark fiber providers, offering a unique market proposition.
