Danny Sachnowitz has joined Thor Equities Group as executive vice president of capital markets, based in New York City.
Prior to joining Thor Equities, Sachnowitz served as deputy director and deputy CIO from 2003 to 2019 at the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Co., a more than $60 billion government investment office. He was primarily responsible for the investment of all medium- and long-term strategies across all asset types, including real estate, private equity and hedge funds, along with traditional fixed income and public equity strategies.
Sachnowitz’s previous experience includes serving as deputy executive administrator of the $20 billion Texas Permanent School Fund, as well as CIO of the Office of the Texas Comptroller’s Investment Division.
