Thomas Fischer joins JB Matteson

Thomas Fischer has joined JB Matteson as senior vice president, director of investments.

Fischer is responsible for new multifamily investments as well as asset management of JB Matteson’s existing Southern California and Bay Area assets.

Fischer has more than 15 years’ real estate investment management experience across multiple geographies and product types, investing several billion dollars on behalf of public pension funds and private equity firms. Prior to joining JB Matteson, Fischer was an investment officer with the University of California’s Office of the CIO, managing a portion of the University’s $4 billion private real estate portfolio.

Prior to UC, Fischer held acquisition and asset management roles with Otto Finlay Investments, Embarcadero Capital Partners and Meridian Property Company.

Fischer graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in business administration from Georgetown University and graduated magna cum laude with an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.
