The Children’s Investment Fund Management has held a $1.1 billion final close, according to IREI’s FundTracker database. The debt fund exceeded its $800 million equity fundraising target.
TCI Real Estate Partners Fund I launched in August 2014. TCI Fund Management looks to generate income by investing in first mortgages of trophy assets in Western Europe and the United States.
Thus far this year, there has been 12 international and global funds closing with more than $1 billion, according to the FundTracker database. The final closings raised equity totaling $39.14 billion.
TCI Real Estate Partners Fund I is ranked 10th, while Blackstone Real Estate Partners VIII is the largest international or global fund to close so far this year.
