At its Dec. 11 board meeting, the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) reviewed its 2024 third quarter private market investments, which reached a total of $1.2 billion.
These investments spanned across private equity, private debt, and real estate. The private equity sector saw a total of $846 million in total commitments in SWIB’s third quarter. Private debt received $83 million in total commitments. The real estate sector received commitments of $321 million.
SWIB is a public pension fund that manages the funds of the trust funds of the Wisconsin Retirement System, State Investment Fund and other smaller funds.
