Stockland has formed a 50-50 joint venture partnership with John Boyd Properties to redevelop the 18.3-hectare (45.2-acre) Kogarah Golf Club site into a world-class logistics precinct following the New South Wales (Australia) Government’s recent rezoning of the site.
The Stockland and John Boyd Properties joint venture proposes to develop a multi-story logistics hub with an end value estimated at more than A$3.5 billion ($2.3 billion) and up to 340,000 square meters (3.7 million square feet) of floor space designed for aviation-linked logistics; high-value freight like medical, technology and perishable goods; and last-mile distribution.
The site is strategically located adjacent to Sydney Airport and close to Port Botany – two of Australia’s most critical infrastructure gateways – as well as major arterial roads including the M1, M5 and M8 and the future M6.
