Southwest nears final close with $360m fundraise

Southwest Value Partners, a San Diego–based privately held real estate investment company, is nearing a final close after raising $360.6 million for its Southwest Value Partners Fund XVIII, according to a filing with the SEC.

The fund has raised $10 million more than its $350 million fundraising target; however, the firm did not comment on its fundraising activities or confirm a final close.

Southwest Value Partners Fund XVIII recently launched in March. It will invest in properties in large U.S. markets. The firm mostly focuses its investments on office, hospitality, multifamily and land acquisitions.

The fund’s predecessor, Southwest Value Partners Fund XVII, held a $296 million final close in April 2015, reaching its target after four months of fundraising. Southwest Val
