Skanska USA breaks ground on $349m N.J. hospital

by Andrea Waitrovich

Skanska USA has broken ground on its healthcare project in the Delaware Valley, an Inspira Health Network hospital building in Mullica Hill, N.J.

Inspira acquired 100 acres from Rowan University in 2016 for the new medical center. The five-story, 204-bed hospital is located near Rowan University’s South Jersey Technology Park.

The 467,000-square-foot project will create around 400 local full-time jobs.

This will be Skanska USA’s largest Integrated Project Delivery project to date in North America.

Other projects Skanska is developing are the new Women and Children’s Health Building for Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Del., and a 538,000-square-foot Duke Lifepoint Healthcare facility in Marquette, Mich.
