Singerman Real Estate holds $500m final close for opportunity fund

Singerman Real Estate (SRE), a Chicago-based opportunistic real estate investment firm, has held a final close on SRE Opportunity Fund III with capital commitments totaling $500 million.

SRE exceeded its $400 million fundraising target and reached the fund’s hard cap three months following its initial closing. Fund III is capitalized primarily by institutions, including endowments, foundations, public pensions, corporate pensions, large family offices and money management firms. The $27.6 billion Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System was one investor in the fund, committing $50 million in September 2017.

Additionally, SRE received commitments from investors for significant co-investment capacity.
