SDCERS commits $40m to real estate funds

The San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System has committed $20 million each to Long Wharf Real Estate Partners V and Torchlight Debt Opportunity Fund V, according to recent meeting documents.

Long Wharf Real Estate Partners V launched in January of this year with a $350 million target. The value-added fund will invest across the United States in all property types.

Torchlight Debt Opportunity Fund V, managed by Torchlight Investors, is targeting $1 billion in equity and will invest in commercial real estate debt, including commercial real estate loans, CMBS, CMBS interest-only strips and CDOs.The Nebraska Investment Council and the
