Schroders Capital appoints new head of real estate for France

Schroders Capital has appointed Hideki Kurata as head of real estate for France and director of residential strategies.

Kurata, who will take up his new role on March 1, will also be part of Schroders Capital’s global property management team. His responsibility will consist of identifying and finding new strategic investment opportunities to contribute to the development of Schroders Capital’s Serviced Residential Real Estate platform. He will focus on operationally intensive residential strategies, encompassing the senior, student and co-living sectors, as well as healthcare, building on the strong position market share and Schroders Capital’s expertise in the hospitality industry.

Kurata comes from Greystar, where he has set up and developed the business in France since 2018. Previously, Kurata led the alternatives and special situations team at AXA IM Real Assets and spent 12 years at GE Capital, where he held various positions in mergers & acquisitions a
