SBCERA invests $75m in Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VII

The San Bernardino County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA) has committed $75 million to Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VII, a vehicle of Kayne Anderson, according to a spokesperson.

With a fundraising goal of $4 billion, Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VII is a closed-end, opportunistic fund that invests in senior housing, medical office and student housing in the United States. The fund’s predecessor, Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VI, closed with $2.8 billion in total capital raised. The Boston Retirement System and The Nebraska Investment Council have both committed to this fund.
